About Jaclyn

Music! It’s been a part of me since before I was born. My mother was a choir director and still loves to tell the story about how, without fail, I would kick and dance in her tummy while she and her choirs rehearsed The Lord Bless You and Keep You with Sevenfold Amen. The song still makes me emotional to this day.

She raised me in Cincinnati with my brother who is also very musical. I was given a guitar at age 12, and four chords later I began writing my own music.

After spending High School immersed in choir and theater, I went to Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University to major in Vocal Performance. My greatest strength was always classical voice, and my greatest passion remained in songwriting.

So off to NYC I went! Soon it was open mics, clubs and bars, a solo album, and an album with my band The Shakey Tables. During this time I landed a job playing music for children with the amazing Laurie Berkner. She taught me so many incredible things, and the work surprised me in so many wonderful ways. I fell in love with the craft and started my own businesses around children’s entertainment.

Today you can find me leading music classes for children as well as concerts, parties and events for kids, families, adults… dinosaurs… robots… unicorns…
